Would you recommend other designers consider using a Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro over an iPad for their work?
September 23, 2022 at 12:39 pmYes, the Artist community speaks highly of Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro. However, there is also a large group of professionals that still use Apple iPads for their work. Designer’s will find the Cintiq Pro to be more versatile and learn how to draw easier or go faster by using the pen rather than a mouse.

September 23, 2022 at 2:47 pmWhat made you choose the Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro over the iPad?
September 23, 2022 at 12:42 pmAs an artist, there is a lot that you can do on the Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro over an Apple iPad. Unlike tablets which are usually not used in professional environments, the Cintiq 16 Pro supports advanced features such as pressure sensitivity and variable refresh rates. It also offers much higher screen resolution and more customizable configurations of its software than other tablet devices. Further, Wacom uses EMR technology to make sure that your pen strokes are viewable on screen in real time as your hands move in a natural way.
September 23, 2022 at 2:47 pmDo you have a Wacom Cintiq? If so, what do you think of it?
September 23, 2022 at 12:42 pmI’ve been using Wacom tablets for years and I love my Cintiq. If your budget is tight, I’d recommend going with an Apple iPad Pro. The apps are a lot less expensive on the App Store than they are in your studio and they’re still a great option to get started
September 23, 2022 at 2:46 pmWhat are the pros and cons of each tablet for designers?
September 23, 2022 at 12:43 pmWacom Cintiq 16 Pro is a professional tablet with a natural interface that allows you to utilize the brush, airbrush, and pen functions of a Wacom Pen on a digital art program for drawing, painting, or designing.
September 23, 2022 at 2:45 pmWhich one would you recommend for a beginner designer?
September 23, 2022 at 12:43 pmIf you are looking for a device that can do both drawing and digital painting, then the Cintiq Pro would be the device of choice. The benefits of using a Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro over an Apple iPad is that it is more compact and enables you to be more mobile while still producing great quality work.
September 23, 2022 at 2:40 pmThe only way to know which one is right for you is to try both a Wacom and an Apple iPad. The individual might prefer the feel of one or the other. Anyone new to using a Wacom or Apple iPad might find that there is no difference in the workflow between these two options.
September 23, 2022 at 2:44 pmIf money was no object, which one would you choose and why?
September 23, 2022 at 12:44 pmThis is a tricky question, as it really depends on your personal preference. If you are new to design and have not purchased any hardware equipment yet, then I would recommend the Apple iPad. The iPad offers far less versatility but provides a very basic experience for novices. However, if you want to work with high-end software and invest in a future of creative freedom then the Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro is worth looking into.
September 23, 2022 at 2:38 pmThe Cintiq is for those that want to paint or draw on the device. The Cintiq Pro has a pen and can be used with different types of paint tools and software. Plus, with the pen, you don’t have to turn off your computer when you’re using it.
